BEACH - ISLAND - WEDDING CANVAS #1

Happy Hello Arty Friends!

 

Today I'm sharing the first of two custom canvas's I'm making for a relative to give as a wedding gift.

 

I couldn't wait to receive the photo's so I could begin working on the projects....When I saw the photo's my wheels began turning and I wanted to create something unique with a bit of "island" flare....Well, at least the first canvas shows a bit of that.....My second canvas will be much more elegant with floral details...

I started by adding gesso and then spraying various mists on the canvas.  When they dried I started the stencil work using gel medium.....

When the stencil work dried I added various Gelato's over top.

I added laces, beading, shells and gems.  I misted the laces and shells.

I also added watercolor painting and pencil outlines.

I added sand to the chicken wire using gel medium and then I painted over it with mists and paints.

Lastly I added various shells, gems, beads and flowers....
