Design Team Project

It's Fashionista Friday over at the shoe and this weeks challenge #73 is all about sewing.  Go check it out and have fun by clicking the link above.

I created this layout by using Wesbster's Pages papers.  I hand painted the grass, dirt path and leaves around the sign.  I created a blanket effect to place the photo (my son sitting) on by using a "Fiskars" punch, wetting the paper and folding it to look like a blanket.  I used a scalloped "Fiskars" punch on the red paper bordering the layout.  I wanted to create the look of fabric ruffles.  I hand stiched around the page and hot glued the punch work around the page.  I wanted it to look like I sewed the ruffles on to the page.  I hand painted the "Dusty Attic" piece and added  yellow puffy paint to give it a flowering tree effect.
