This weeks challenge over at "The Shoe" is flutterbies. You can incorporate birds, bees, butterflies, fairies, etc. Go on over by clicking the link above and show us your wonderful winged designs!
I added a piece of black Venetian lace to this project. The lace was quite flimsy so I brushed on "Stiffy".....It is fabric stiffener and it works wonders. Two pieces of the scroll work I gave a mottled effect by using "Color Box" a violet pigment stamp pad, "Color Box" cats eye in various purple tones and "Smooch" was applied lastly to give it shimmering highlights! See step by step photo's:
I put a piece of wax paper under my chipboard. I started by using the "Color Box" stamp pad in Violet. I pressed the pad at various locations of the chipboard but not covering it completely.
Next I pressed on "Color Box" Cats Eye in two tones of purple. Now it has a mottled look to it.
Lastly I spritzed on some shimmering "Smooch"! I love that stuff! I used these products on the lattice punch work to the right of the layout. The chipboard and punch work accent each other beautifully.
Thanks for looking!
Stunning! I love how you colored the scrollwork! Love having the opportunity to display your art at the Shoe! Hugs!
