Hello my crafty friends!
Today is my last post for ~Tresors de Luxe~click here.....I had a fun and fabulous time working with the gorgeous products and laces!! A big thank you to Lucy for accepting me to be on the team! She is the best!
I made my last creation for my son to give to my mom.....Normally I do my own candy making but ever since I got back in to scrapbook design- I have very little time.....For years I have wanted to alter a heart shaped candy box. I always had the vision of creating something Victorian, angelic and detailed...I must say this creation is a bit hard for me to give up but I like giving and my mom will not only enjoy the sweet gesture, she'll also enjoy the sweet goodies inside the box!
I used three different "Tresors" laces and the gorgeous brooch in the center.
I added the little pink rosebuds throughout - available at the etsy online store.
I misted and painted everything (flowers, laces, paper heart doily) that is attached to the box
I used "Mod Podge" to adhere the lace to the box. Some of the edges of the lace were draping over the box so I used a sharp scissor and cut the excess off. I went over the cut lace with gold rub.....
When cutting lace for projects like this, it's a good idea to use a no fray application to the edges of the lace. Since I was adding "Mod Podge" and misting/painting.....I did not use it.
Those of you who know my work, know I almost always add beads to my creations....I keep a nice supply on hand....
