Hi Friends!
Yep, it's Monday and a blah day here in PA but a good day for sharing some scrappy inspiration....I created this page using the gorgeous January kit:
"Delightful"
from ~Scraps of Elegance~ click here
The gorgeous paper from "Kaisercraft" included in the kit is so shabby chic and beautiful so I decided to whitewash this page with gesso and use hints of pink here and there. I wanted to keep the main color washed out pink...I turned the paper upside down so the faded roses were in view at the top left...
I have to be honest I used this photo years ago....I think it was "2010 or 11" on a "Webster's Pages" layout but I thought that little pink bow she's wearing and her sweet little face is a perfect match for the papers, pearls ,cherubs and satin ruffles.....
I did some cut work on the "Kaisercraft" cherubs and added them to the left of the page.....I added a bit of gesso to the edges of the cut work...
I also cut out the strip of "Kaisercraft" heart stickers and distressed the edges placing them throughout.....
I used a "Martha Stewart" punch around the edges of the paper and used a scissors between each scallop. I lifted the scallops and folded to create a ruffled effect.....
