AUTUMN BUTTERFLY

Happy hello everyone!
Today I'm sharing a mixed media project using a photo I took recently at the local state park.  I happened to come across this beautiful butterfly while riding bike.  I took about 8 shots getting closer each time.  This beauty had a tattered wing but I didn't care because I never saw any like it.
Here is two of the untouched photos.  I used my iPhone since I didn't take my camera along.

So I was inspired by this photo to use the "Lindy's Stamp Gang" Industrial Chic Collection.  The copper colored tips of the butterfly's wings and the light and dark teals are the main colors of the awesome collection.
I did some photoshop to enhance the colors of the butterfly.

I was inspired by Vivian Keh ~Scraps of Darkness~click here Educator to take embossed paper and make a collage.   I ripped pieces of plain white card stock and used 2 embossing templates.  I adhered the dry embossed papers with Mod Podge.  I went over the dry embossing with an embossing pen and then heat embossed.  I also added molding paste for texture and heat embossed.

I had various copper jewelry beads/findings in my bead stash.  For years I have been wanting to make a turquoise and coral stone necklace with copper accents.  Well it looks like the copper findings found a new project.  The gorgeous black velvet flowers are from the ~Scraps of Darkness/Scraps of Elegance~ online store.  I added misting/embossing powder to pieces of lovely detailed lace from "Tresors de Luxe" etsy shop.
I stenciled flowers and butterfly using molding paste.  I went over that with "Lindy's Stamp Gang" embossing powder with Byzantine Bronze.
The photo's do not do this canvas justice. The copper details from the embossing and bead findings just aren't showing up like in person.

I am also playing along with this month's "Autumn"  TOGETHER challenge at Berry71Bleu!  Here is some inspiration photo's!

Thanks for stopping by!
Enjoy!
