Butterfly Magic - A Sprinkling of Fairy Dust

Mixed Media - Beads, Jewelry Findings, Painting, Photo

Hello crafty friends,

Today I bring to you a beaded/painted creation on canvas.  I'm not sure where this project fits in: Beading, scrapping, painting?  Doesn't matter because I had fun doing this.

I began by cutting out various sizes of photo's of the same butterfly.

When they were all cut out I played with the design on the canvas before permanently gluing.

I then drew a design around the butterflies to create my beaded mosaic.
I started adding various beads, metal, jewelry, flowers around the photo's.
When the beading was done I added molding paste in empty space.  When that dried I started painting.
After the paint dried I added liquid Gold Leaf throughout.
Closeup of beading/painting.
Supplies:
Petaloo Flowers (Flying Unicorn)
Scrap FX Flutterby (Flying Unicorn)
Blue Moon Metal Charms (Flying Unicorn)
Various Beads Gems (Walmart-Michael's)
Liquid Gold Leaf (Walmart)
Golden Molding Paste (Local Craft Store)
Fairy Dust (Fine Gold Glitter)

Have a Wonderful Day!
