MIXED MEDIA TUTORIAL
Well I must tell you I don't watch "Star Wars" movies but I loved the photo of Natalie Portman playing "Queen Amidala". She's one of my favorite actresses right now along with Keira Knightley.
STEP ONE: Started with a canvas that was in my "Flying Unicorn" July kit. Added the "Tattered Angels" screen that was in the kit and misted/sprayed the canvas. When that was dry I laid out my elements.
STEP TWO: I added "Glossy Accents" to the "Dusty Attic" chipboard that I purchased at the "Flying Unicorn.
STEP THREE: Create punch work border to frame the "Dusty Attic". Spray it with "Tattered Angels" Glimmer Mist.
STEP FOUR: Once the "Glossy Accents" dries use a swab to add touches of "Ranger" red alcohol ink. Then start adding the punch work to the frame. Detail on the right of the photo.
STEP FIVE: After adding the punch work around the frame, I add the organza fabric....."Walmart" dollar special. I sprayed some "Tattered Angels" Glimmer Mist - Black Magic on the fabric. The fabric I cut into a strip of about 3-4" wide and 50" long. I twisted and glued behind the frame.
STEP SIX: Assortment of beads and elements to add to the mosaic pattern.
STEP SEVEN: Layout the beads and form a pattern before gluing. I wasn't sure where I was going with the mosaic.
