HAPPY 2! -BERRY71BLEU

Happy Hello Everyone!

 

 Denise is hosting this month's challenge and the theme over at Berry71Bleu is Early Birthday Year's.  I created a "rustic" distressed country canvas using a photo of my great nephew.  The beautiful photo was taken by a local photographer - "Kylin Lyons Photography"  I was inspired by the "rustic" background in the photo.

This beautiful little boy turned 2 in September and I thought I'd create something special based on this month's theme.

I created a "stone work" background using a stencil, heavy gel and heat embossing using ultra thick clear powder.  I hand painted over the stencil/embossed work.

Too bad I covered up some of the stencil work in the back ground but I wanted to add a little color using flowers.

I was going to tuck the photo inside the pocket seen at the left but it covered too much of the photo.  I cut a pocket off of an old pair of jeans and cut the pocket down the center then sewed in a zipper.

 

You still have plenty of time to show us your "Early Birthday Years" project!
