Today I bring to you a mixed media canvas called "Believe".  I was inspired by many designers on this creation and inspired to "believe" in myself.  I wanted to do something just for me, by me that represents the visual things I love....... (filigree, intricate details, beading, lace, textures, purples, blues, and aqua's).

I started off by adding white tissue paper to the entire canvas adhering it with "Mod Podge".  I swirled the "Mod Podge" around with my fingers to create pleats and crevasses.

I then adhered the lace from "Tresors de Luxe". 

  

This video shows the beginning process of my canvas project.  I did not know exactly how it would turn out at this point.

I didn't add the "Viva" turquoise color until later.  The colors I started with was plums, purples, blues and touches of "Liquid Gold Leaf"

These were the elements I had to work with.  As you can see, I painted the chipboard butterfly aqua/turquoise.  I then later changed the color.  I wanted to differentiate the colors of the elements to the background of the canvas.  Most of the elements are purples and plums.  The background is blues, teals, aqua.
