VAUGHN

Happy Sunday Everyone!

Today I bring to you an altered project using a panel board canvas, acrylic paints, cheese cloth, river rocks, various grasses and moss.
I attached the canvas to two separate "Kaisercraft" papers.
My son wanted a frog themed layout.  He loves frogs so I could easily incorporate them in to this mossy/marshy nature inspired creation.

Here's another photo - different lighting.  For some reason the photo's are grainy.......Time for a new camera.

I started by mixing "Tattered Angels" with molding past.  I also added "Tim Holtz" distress ink.
I textured the canvas by sponging and creating grass like streaks with the paint brush.
I used acrylic paint, gesso and "Shabby Shutter" crackle paint to add depth and color to the canvas.

I painted the bright yellow and gold flowers with Gesso.....
I distressed the green paper by adding water and scrunching it with no rhyme or reason.  Just to create texture.
The chipboard gate from "Blue Fern Studio's".... I altered by adding walnut stain first.  When that dried I added "Shabby Shutter" distress paint to create a weathered look.  I then went over it with bronze acrylic paint.  Lastly I went back over with stain with my fingers.  (messy but fun)
I wrapped cheese cloth sprayed with "Tattered Angels" glimmer mist and Ranger Ink distress inks.  I was going for a marshy/mossy look for this layout.  I then went over the cloth with Mod Podge.
Lastly I added river rocks, green glass stones, moss, grasses (all from the Dollar Tree).  The large frog image is from "The Graphic's Fairy".  The other frog is my son's from a gum machine.  I added twine and burlap also.  Various flowers from my scrappy stash.

I hope you enjoyed!
Have a wonderful day!
